How do I get my breast form?
Following breast surgery and if you have a medical card, you are entitled to two bras every year and a prosthesis every two years.
What do I have to do to claim my entitlements?
Attend your GP surgery, request a  prescription for two bras and a prosthesis. Depending on the area your live you may also be entitled to a swimsuit.  Post the prescription to Caroline's Breast Care and I will apply to the HSE for approval on your behalf. We will then schedule an appoinment for your fitting.
What do I do if I don't have a medical card?
If you don't have a medical card but have private health insurance then please just contact me for an appointment. I will give you a receipt after your fitting so you can present to your insurance provider and depending on your plan you may be entitled to a refund. This fitting service is available to everyone regardless of whether you are a medical card holder or have private health insurance.
What is different about your fitting service?
When a woman who has undergone breast surgery comes to me for the first time she may have spent weeks if not months in a state of anxiety and uncertainty and I am aware of this and I want to help. I want my years of experience to make it easy and reassuring. I will give you time, I will listen carefully, I won't rush you, I will understand and hopefully you will feel like you are in the right place with the right fitter. I will consider the need for comfort, great coverage, security, quality and style. I hope at the end of the fitting I will have empowered a more feminine, confident you and we can build a trust that will last many years.
Will the HSE allow me to access the service of my local fitter if I have been fitted elsewhere previously?
The choice is yours. You only need to present your prescription to your chosen fitter and they will apply to the HSE on your behalf. I would be happy to do this for you.
